Blind Hunters
Apparently there is a proposed bill in Texas to allow blind people to hunt.
Come on... I'm all for blind people's rights (I'm half blind myself), but hunting!?!?!
Only in Texas.
I'm eagerly anticipating Chuck's response to this...

Harry Whittington's pretty sure this bill surpassed the "proposed" stage months ago.
I heard about this last week on one of the talk radio shows and could not believe it.
My Comment.
WHY?
For me the trill of the hunt is all in the visuals. Seeing the game, watching them, hoping that they don't catch a whiff of you, staring down the barrel of the gun just before the coup de gras!
What enjoyment could a blind person have in hunting? First of all how are they going to hit anything anyway. They can't see what they are aiming at!
It is just like the Internet based hunting that was started a year or so ago in Texas. If you can't be out in nature enjoying the day and the trill of the hunt then it is killing not hunting.
I remember as a young hunter 12 - 14 I would often complain about not seeing any deer or not getting a deer and my Dad would always tell me: "That's why they call it hunting and not shooting." Because you have to put some effort forth to get a deer. Of course this is also the same man who told me: "Son your never an idiot your a Strouse!"
Lastly, I wonder what the comment was that was deleted? Could it have been a Kirbyism?
